NIGHTINGALE CHALLENGE 2022

EONS YCN NIGHTINGALE CHALLENGE WEBINAR SERIES IS BACK AGAIN!

After the successful former seasons we are back with another one!
The approach is obvious – we would like to help new Young Cancer Nurses to obtain education and information, which will help them to become confident and capable oncology nurses as well as to provide refreshment of knowledge for experienced nurses.

This year we offer the following 3 webinars:

Pain is one of the most common symptoms experienced by patients with cancer. Cancer pain takes many forms; dull, achy, sharp or burning. It can be constant, intermittent, mild or moderate. It can be caused by cancer, cancer treatment or a combination of factors. Most cancer pain is manageable and controlling it is an essential element of treatment.

SECOND-HAND SMOKING – REGISTER NOW

The prevention campaign is running through 2022-23 to support and develop understanding how to reduce the risk of cancer through healthy lifestyle choices. There has been a huge focus in recent years on the associated risks of smoking in increasing the chances of a cancer diagnosis but less is highlighted on the impact of second-hand smoking, both personal and to those around us. Greater education and knowledge is required to support patients, colleagues and the wider community to understand the impact second-hand smoking has.

Join us and our expert panel for webinar #3 – Second-hand Smoking to learn more about preventing cancer.

Lena Sharp, EONS PrEvCan© Leader, cancer nurse, researcher, Sweden
