EONS at high-profile EU Event

Three years after the adoption of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, Stella Kyriakides, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety held a high-level event to take stock of Europe’s efforts to improve the lives of everyone touched by cancer and to take the lead in the fight against this disease.

The event in Brussels on the 31st of January 2024 was attended by EONS President Virpi Sulosaari (left), Past-President Johan de Munter (right), and COO Richard Kelly. Stella Kyriakides (centre) expressed gratitude to all contributors involved in the diverse projects to enhance the well-being of individuals affected by cancer and in the various initiatives initiated by the EU.

Participants included experts, policymakers, and officials from across the EU, operating at both European and national levels.
