EONS signs an MoU with SPCC
EONS has signed a memorandum of understanding with Sharing Progress in Cancer Care (SPCC).
SPCC, is an independent nonprofit organisation, registered in Switzerland, dedicated to providing projects, programmes and initiatives (live and online) to share and integrate knowledge and information on scientific progress, innovation and best practices in the Cancer Care Continuum from prevention to early diagnosis, treatment, and support after treatment.
Commenting on the agreement, Virpi Sulosaari, EONS President, said:
“The European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS) is delighted to make this collaboration with Sharing Progress in Cancer Care (SPCC). Together we will co-operate on knowledge-sharing activities, focusing in particular on scientific progress, innovation and best practice, to further expertise and skills in cancer care as a whole and cancer nursing in particular”.
Dr Matti Aapro, SPCC President, said:
“SPCC is honoured by the trust of EONS in cooperating in various educational activities. We believe that the future co-creation of some events will be of importance for all health care providers, especially nurses and, when applicable, to patients in the whole world”.
SPCC and EONS have decided to join efforts in three defined areas of collaboration:
– INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERSHIP(Mutual recognition as institutional partner; connecting and sharing relevant experts from both organisations on specific institutional activities of mutual interest);
– OPERATIONAL COLLABORATION (Sharing intelligence, developments, contacts and information from institutional bodies; cooperation in promoting and circulating documents, initiatives, activities and contents)
– PROJECT COOPERATION (Partnering in project development and funding research, from 2024)
