Cancerworld article by EONS President Virpi Sulosaari
To mark ECND24 and EONS’ 40th Anniversary, the presitigious magazine, Cancerworld, has published an article by EONS President Virpi Sulosaari.
In it, Virpi says: “To improve the state of cancer nursing and the working conditions of the cancer nursing workforce, nursing leadership practices need to be embraced at all governance levels, in clinical practice, academia and professional organisations. Furthermore, we need to ensure access to cancer nursing education, promote recognition of the cancer nursing specialty and foster cancer nursing research.
“ECND is EONS’ way of raising awareness and recognition of the impact of nurses on quality care, on the lives of people affected by cancer and on shaping the cancer services for a changing world, and the resilience, relevance and expertise that are the keys to success.”
