Applications Open: Join the EONS Communication Working Group!

EONS is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Communication Working Group (CWG)!

What is the CWG?

The Communication Working Group plays a vital role in promoting the visibility and recognition of cancer nurses. Aligned with EONS’ mission, the CWG supports professional growth, collaboration, and the dissemination of best practices in communication.

Working closely with the EONS Executive Board, the group drives initiatives to enhance the voice and impact of cancer nurses in comprehensive cancer care.

What Will You Do as a Member?

  • Share knowledge and promote best practices in communication across Europe.
  • Develop social media resources, guidelines, and tools for EONS members.
  • Collaborate on innovative projects and campaigns like Global Cancer Day.
  • Provide communication expertise for EONS’ education and advocacy initiatives.
  • Promote cancer nurse representation in strategic discussions and policy efforts.
  • Engage with international partners to raise awareness of cancer nursing.

Who Can Apply?

We are looking for cancer nurses who:

  • Work clinically or academically.
  • Are passionate about cancer nursing and professional development.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are committed to advancing oncology nursing practice and education.
  • Are individual EONS members or members of their National Oncology Nursing Society.

Membership Details

  • Members serve a two-year term, renewable twice (maximum 6 years).
  • CWG members meet every 6 weeks (virtual or in-person) and commit ~2-3 hours/month.
  • Active participation in meetings and projects is essential.
