The INTERACT-EUROPE Showcase Event – in Brussels and Online, took place on 17 November, 2023.
‘Pioneering the Future of Inter-Specialty Cancer Education: Breaking down barriers and uniting expertise’ featured leading oncology education experts from across Europe, and many others, who met to consider ground-breaking new methods and tools for improving inter-specialty cancer training.
The INTERACT-EUROPE Showcase Event marks an ambitious leap forward. Now extending to 100 cancer centres across Europe, the project’s focal point shifts to the implementation of an extensive Inter-specialty Cancer Training Programme Curriculum. This milestone initiative aims at fostering a patient-centric approach to elevate the quality of cancer care. Central to this program is the encouragement of multidisciplinary and multi-professional teamwork, essential in delivering comprehensive care. The INTERACT-EUROPE project, a flagship element of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, has developed an innovative new approach to supporting new levels of cooperation between professions involved in cancer care by creating a first-of-its-kind inter-speciality cancer training curriculum.
