Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan – Implementation Roadmap - EONS

The European Commission published an implementation roadmap with concrete actions, timelines and progress indicators to monitor the developments of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan (EBCP) ten flagship initiatives and other actions. Work is also progressing with the launch of the Knowledge Centre on Cancer, EU Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres and the HealthyLifestyle4All initiative to increase health literacy and reduce reduce inequalities between Member States by fostering collaboration across the EU. In the meantime, the EU4Health programme has launched 12 action grants and 4 joint actions covering many aspects of cancer prevention and care. EONS is a member of the Commission Stakeholder Contact Group on EBCP and will support the implementation of the Cancer Plan through a multi-stakeholder approach which aims to improve the lives of more than 3 million people in Europe.
