EONS is open for Horizon Europe partnering!
The EU Research and Innovation Programme (2021-2027) aims to deliver scientific, technological, economic and societal impact. Cancer Nurses are at the heart of cancer patient disease prevention, treatment care and survivorship, and our research community makes regular contributions to furthering knowledge about cancer nursing in Europe.
With roughly 30,000 members across the European region, including all Member States of the European Union, the European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS) is in a unique position to disseminate cancer-related research findings. Located in the heart of Europe, with strong experience in events management and excellent connections to European policy makers, we are also able to ensure your research results find their way to the top of European policy making as well as out to national governments and clinicians across the Continent.
One of the programme’s three pillars (Pillar 2) covers the central area of health, with a ‘focus on major societal challenges such as cancer’ and it is here that EONS seeks to play an important part. We are actively seeking partners to help us make a strong contribution.
The programme aims to be complementary to Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan and EU4Health Programme, with development of new prevention measures, innovative health technologies and therapies. Topics this year (2021) look towards improved supportive, palliative, survivorship and end-of-life care of cancer patients. In all these areas, cancer nurses play an active and vital role. EONS is ready to engage in enhanced inter-sectoral partnerships.
If your organization is interested in forming such a relationship with EONS please contact w.h.oldenmenger at erasmusmc dot nl and we will be happy to begin a conversation about working together for health across Horizon Europe.
